Hi! I'm Maddie.

I'm the owner and head baker of Atomic Bakehouse in Santa Fe and the author of Flour Powered, a newsletter about pastries and personal growth.

I'm a baker, entrepreneur, runner, and writer.

For almost a decade, I worked as a financial planner, consulting with clients on their stock options and company IPOs, 401(k)s and employee benefits.

But after losing my mom and my financial planning job in quick succession, I decided to start over, professionally speaking.

The ensuing period of soul-searching led me to baking school in Paris as part of Ferrandi's Bread Baking & Viennoiseries program, and eventually to opening my own pop-up bakery in Northern New Mexico. (You can find my story featured here in The Santa Fe Reporter.)
